John was born in
the small rural village of Castleconnell in John joined a boys
club at the age of ten and learned to play his first musical instrument, a
flageolet (Penny Whistle). Shortly afterward, he began entertaining with a
local marching band. Soon after, he learned how to play the Chromatic
(button) accordion and would sit in with a local Ceili
band when they played in the area . This very talented
musician and singer started playing professionally at the age of 15. He has
shared stages throughout John has performed
in concert halls and festivals from He is credited with
three CD’s, "MAGGIE", “STILL AT IT” “CELTIC, COUNTRY,
CLASSIC” and two cassettes where he performs some of the
great and frequently requested songs such as Danny Boy, Killybegs,
Kathleen, Famous Seamus, A Mother's Love's A Blessing, Noreen Bawn, Irish Soldier Laddie Ringsend Rose The Bold O’ Donahue and many more . To listen to the
